Description

The Lunt 130mm Universal Telescope represents the pinnacle of Lunt’s modular telescope line. Built around a precision-aligned triplet ED APO lens with 130mm aperture, this instrument delivers breathtaking solar and nighttime performance in a single, convertible package.

In H-alpha solar mode, the 130mm aperture captures extraordinary detail — hotspots, prominences, filaments, and granulation explode into view as you tune the pressure-tuned etalon. The large aperture gathers significantly more light than smaller models, revealing subtle solar features that are invisible in 60mm or 80mm instruments.

After dark, the triplet ED APO optics deliver the kind of performance that dedicated nighttime refractor owners expect at this price point — razor-sharp planetary detail, pinpoint stars, and rich deep-sky views with virtually no chromatic aberration.
