Description
The Lunt LS40FHa is a 40mm front-mount double-stack hydrogen-alpha filter designed for use with Lunt’s dedicated 40mm solar telescopes. Adding this filter to an existing LS40 system narrows the bandpass from <0.70 Å to approximately <0.50 Å, significantly increasing contrast for finer views of chromospheric detail, prominences, and surface features.
The 40mm aperture has no central obstruction, ensuring clean, high-contrast images. The filter uses tilt tuning for bandpass adjustment and attaches directly to the front of the LS40 telescope.
Important: This filter is intended for use with Lunt 40mm dedicated H-alpha systems only. A Lunt blocking filter is required for safe viewing (safety requirement).
