Add Calcium K wavelength (393.4 nm) observing capability to your Lunt 130mm Universal Day & Night Modular Telescope. The Ca-K module replaces the H-alpha module, revealing the Sun’s chromosphere in the violet calcium line — showing bright plage regions, the chromospheric network, and sunspot penumbral detail that is invisible in H-alpha.
Ca-K and H-alpha provide complementary views of the Sun. While H-alpha excels at showing prominences and filaments, Ca-K highlights magnetic activity near the solar surface, making the two wavelengths ideal companions for comprehensive solar observation.
