140PH F6.5 Triplet Refractor

Description

The SharpStar 140PH scope features a 140mm air-spaced triplet objective with two ED glass elements for excellent colour correction, contrast, and image sharpness. 

With a native focal ratio of f/6.5, the scope measures just 739mm in length with its dew shield retracted and weighs 10.1kg making it an ideal choice for those requiring excellent optics with a larger aperture. 

With a standard focal length of 910mm, the 140PH can be used with a dedicated 0.73x 3″ Reducer / Flattener to bring the focal ration down to a very fast f/4.8 delivering tack-sharp stars across a 44mm field with a full-frame camera. It’s also an excellent fast-focal-ratio telescope for visual observation.

The high quality optics are matched by the excellent mechanics and high quality cosmetic fit and finish. The black CNC trim and carrying handle together with the white gloss tube provide this scope with a distinctive and attractive look. The 140PH features a premium 4″ dual-speed 10:1 rack-and-pinion focuser strong enough to handle most full-frame astronomy cameras. 

An optional 0.73x focal reducer/field flattener allows full-cell camera shooting.
