iOptron 2″ Field Flattener

Description

The iOptron 2″ Field Flattener corrects field curvature in refractor telescopes, producing sharp, pinpoint stars all the way to the edges of your camera sensor. Without a field flattener, stars in the corners and edges of your images appear elongated or out of focus due to the natural curvature of the focal plane.

This flattener has a 2″ barrel that inserts into a standard 2″ focuser or visual back. It’s designed for use with iOptron refractor telescopes but is also compatible with many other refractors in a similar focal ratio range. Check the recommended back-focus distance for your specific telescope — correct spacing between the flattener and camera sensor is critical for optimal correction across the full field.
