Description

The iOptron CEM40EC has been designed with portability in mind, weighing in at only 7.2 kg, it can support up to a 18 kg payload! The EC model has a high resolution optical encoder with real-time PEC that delivers accurate tracking with PE <0.25 arcsec RMS.

The center-balanced design of the mount puts the weight of the payload at the center of gravity allowing for greater natural stability. Other features include an adjustable counterweight bar to prevent obstruction with the tripod.

This iOptron CEM40EC mount uses iOptron’s patent-pending Universal Self-Centering Saddle (USCS). This saddle accommodates Losmandy and Vixen-style dovetail plates. The CEM40EC also uses iOptron’s ultra-quiet, low-power consumption stepper motor drive system, aiding the mount in providing precise tracking.

The CEM40EC is equipped with the latest advanced GOTONOVA GOTO technology, making it one of the most powerful and accurate GOTO mounts available. Its database includes over 212,000+ objects. The Go2Nova Hand Controller is intuitive to use and its large 4-line LCD screen simplifies the process of setting telescopes and locating objects.

This mount has an integrated iPolar electronic polar scope that ensures accurate polar alignment.
