The Lunt 80mm Universal Telescope is a powerful modular solar and nighttime refractor featuring an 80mm FPL53 ED Doublet lens. One of Lunt’s most popular aperture sizes, now in a fully modular design that converts between solar H-alpha observation and nighttime astronomy in seconds.

In Hydrogen-Alpha configuration, the 80mm delivers outstanding solar views at less than 0.65 Å bandpass through Lunt’s renowned Doppler True Tuning pressure system. Prominences, filaments, spicules, and active regions are rendered with impressive detail and contrast at this aperture.

After sunset, remove the H-alpha module, attach your preferred focuser, and the 80mm FPL53 ED optics deliver sharp, colour-corrected views of planets, the Moon, and deep-sky objects.
