The Lunt 8mm Flat-Field Eyepiece is the shortest focal length in the Lunt range, providing the highest magnification for detailed close-up views of individual sunspot groups, prominences, and fine chromospheric structures.
The flat-field design ensures sharp detail across the full field of view, while Lunt’s 0.1% anti-reflective coatings — the same etalon-grade coatings used in their H-alpha filters — maximise contrast at high magnification where scattered light can degrade the image.
