Description
The Lunt LS230THa is a 230mm double-stacked hydrogen-alpha solar telescope — one of the largest and most advanced solar telescopes available. With dual internal 80mm unobstructed etalons, both pressure-tuned via Lunt’s Doppler True Tuning system, it achieves an extraordinary bandpass of <0.5 Å at 656.28nm for the highest possible contrast in solar observation and imaging.
This configuration includes the B3400 blocking filter, designed for large-sensor imaging and wide-field visual observation. The Feather Touch focuser provides precise, zero-backlash focusing for both visual and imaging applications.
At 230mm aperture, this telescope resolves the finest solar details — individual spicules, fibrils, Ellerman bombs, and sub-arcsecond structures in active regions that smaller telescopes cannot reveal.
