Description
The Lunt LS60FHa is a 60mm front-mount hydrogen-alpha etalon filter with no central obstruction, designed to convert a customer-supplied refractor into an H-alpha solar telescope. The filter is easily removable, allowing the host telescope to be used for nighttime observation.
With an estimated bandpass of <0.70 Å, it provides high-contrast views of solar surface detail and limb prominences. When double-stacked on an existing Lunt 60mm system, the bandpass narrows to approximately <0.50 Å for significantly enhanced resolution.
Choose the appropriate blocking filter package based on your telescope’s focal length:
- B600 — up to 540mm focal length (1.25″ or 2″ diagonal)
- B1200 — up to 1080mm focal length (1.25″ or 2″ diagonal)
- B1800 — up to 1620mm focal length (1.25″ or 2″ diagonal)
- B3400 — up to 3060mm focal length (2″ straight-through)
