Description

The Starizona Nexus is a combined focal reducer and coma corrector designed specifically for Newtonian reflector telescopes. Unlike most Newtonian coma correctors that maintain or even slightly increase the focal ratio, the Nexus actively reduces it by 0.75x — giving you a faster system with a wider field of view and shorter exposure times.

Newtonian telescopes inherently produce coma — elongated stars that worsen toward the edge of the field. The Nexus corrects this coma while simultaneously reducing the focal length, transforming your Newtonian into a fast, well-corrected astrograph. An f/5 Newtonian becomes an f/3.75 system; an f/4 becomes f/3. The 0.75x reduction gives a 1.33x wider field and 1.78x faster exposures.

The optical design maintains sharp, round stars across the entire corrected field. The Nexus threads into the focuser via standard M48 connection and is compatible with a wide range of Newtonian telescopes from various manufacturers.
