The Lunt 1.25″ Rack & Pinion Focuser is a precision-engineered upgrade for Lunt solar telescopes, replacing the standard helical focuser with a superior mechanical focusing system. CNC machined from aluminium and brass, it delivers smooth, repeatable focus control with virtually zero backlash.
The rack and pinion mechanism provides exceptional positioning accuracy of ±0.002 inches (±0.051mm), making it ideal for high-magnification solar observation and imaging. The rotatable drawtube and compression ring ensure secure, scratch-free holding of eyepieces and cameras up to 6–8 lbs (2.7–3.6 kg).
